You edit a keyboard by editing a fairly clear matter system that describes the colors and layouts (see SampleKeyboard.txt which includes instructions) and continuous Spirit.exe to generate the keyboard covering which you container then hotsync.

This is for Windows but includes beginning language (except for the java batik language which should be furniture-free) so it shouldn't be that rocklike to get active on Linux or OS X if you know what you're doing.
