CIC is based on the idea proposed by Dr. Ben Gilad in his document "Beginning Cautionary: Using Combative Perception to Anticipate Business Shifts, Mastery Chance, and Create Strong Strategies", Amacom 2004.

Dr. Ben Gilad defines combative perception in the next method: "Combative perception is the assemblage and examination of facts from manlike and published sources about business trends and manufacturing developments that allow for ahead labelling of risks and opportunities in the combative stadium...before they are apparent to all but your people!"
